红腹角雉（拉丁学名：Tragopan temminckii）属于鸡形目雉科。雄鸟体羽及两翅主要为深栗红色，满布具黑缘的灰色眼状斑，下体灰斑大而色浅。雌鸟上体灰褐色，下体淡黄色，杂以黑、棕、白斑。雄性较雌性更为美丽。红腹角雉喜欢居住在有长流水的沟谷、山涧及较潮湿的悬崖下的原始森林中，在海拔1000—3500米之间均有分布。主要以乔木、灌木、竹以及草本植物和蕨类植物的嫩叶、幼芽、嫩枝、花絮、果实和种子为食。红腹角雉是一种有很高观赏价值和经济价值的鸟类。

Red-belly Tragopan (Scientific Latin Name: Tragopan temminckii) is a pheasant in the genus Tragopan. The body feathers and wings of the male are mainly dark chestnut red, with gray eye spots with black margins, and the gray spots on the lower body are large and light in color.The upper body of the female is grayish brown, the lower body is pale yellow, mixed with black, brown, and white spots. The maleis more beautiful than the female. It likes to live in gullies, mountain streams and wet cliffs in the primary forest, distributed between 1000 and 3500 meters above sea level. It mainly feeds on young leaves, buds, shoots, catkins, fruits and seeds ofarbor trees, shrubs, bamboo, herbs and ferns and is a kind of bird with high ornamental and economic value.
