大鲵(拉丁学名:Andrias davidianus)是隐腮鲵科，属于尾两栖动物。《山海经》记载大鲵“其状如鱼，四足、其音如婴儿”，因而又名娃娃鱼。中国大鲵是现存两栖类中体型最大的一种，口大，躯扁而粗壮，尾短而侧扁，四肢很短。那么大鲵真的会像婴儿般啼哭吗？对大鲵的研究发现它是没有声带，不能发出明亮的声音，人们听到的声音可能是大鲵吞咽食物或吐泡泡时候发出的。
