喜树(拉丁学名:Camptotheca acuminata.),别名旱莲、水栗、水桐树、天梓树、旱莲子、千丈树、野芭蕉、水漠子,是蓝果树科、喜树属植物。喜树是中国所特有的一种高大落叶乔木,是一种速生丰产的优良树种。落叶乔木,高达20余米。树皮灰色或浅灰色,纵裂成浅沟状。小枝圆柱形,平展,当年生枝紫绿色,有灰色微柔毛,多年生枝淡褐色或浅灰色,无毛,有很稀疏的圆形或卵形皮孔。喜光,不耐严寒干燥。深根性,萌芽率强。较耐水湿,在酸性、中性、微碱性土壤均能生长,在石灰岩风化土及冲积土生长良好。其果实、根、树皮、树枝、叶均可入药。
